Sarah Brodie
Registered Psychotherapist
“I’m 20 years in to this calling… Along with my clients, I transform too. I love my clientele at The Arterie. Because of you, my reverence & awe for what it means to be human is still in tact today.”
I set out to become the therapist whom I would wish to consult myself—
… if it was me who was seeking therapy for my young one, or as a concerned parent, or to work through adult sized complexes, or those of a couple. This one goal has consumed me for my 20 years of practice, and I’ve never stopped training: art therapy (M.A., Concordia), child development and psychoanalysis (CICAPP), and relational therapy for pairs/couples (Centre for Real Dialogue).
I’ve been rewarded with a clientele as invested in inner-work as I am. I love my private practice: creative psychotherapies for all ages & all sorts of life experiences, within a trauma-informed & psychodynamic framework (therefore, I refer to, but do not treat within the medical model). We discover personal but pivotal breakthroughs about being human, together, in a little sage-coloured bungalow on the shores of Lake Ontario.
On-line teleconferencing sure is convenient in a pinch, so always available.
I work full-time and offer some evening hours. When one therapy completes, that opening is for a new therapy to begin.
I don’t keep a waitlist, instead I share referrals with the likeminded therapists at The Arterie. We meet biweekly to distribute requests.
The curious and/or recklessly adventurous among you may also book a single consultation with me by using my online calendar (this will require you to set up an account including entering a form of payment that I won’t abuse). Then come to my office in person at that date and time, which we can confirm, in-app. Returning clients: please book in using my online calendar.
Please note: I keep up with my day to day communications, but I’m not always able to keep up with new inquiries. If you want to catch my eye, write me a real ol’ letter and mail it to the street address at the bottom of this page. I hope it has some art in there, too.
